Hi. There's a question on this form- if you intend to live in the Province of Quebec and are applying under a Quebec immigration program-Have you received your certificate de selection du Quebec? This section doesn't apply to us as me and my husband don't intend to live in Quebec but this form doesn't allow to put N/A in the box. So after I validate the form and print it out, should I just leave this section blank or write N/A with pen as an answer on this question? Thank you.

This is stated in the instructions for the IMM 0008 form:
"Question 6: If you intend to live in the Province of Quebec and are applying under a Quebec immigration program, have you received your Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)?

  1. Check the corresponding box
  2. If you checked “Yes”, please indicate the CSQ number
  3. If you checked “No”, indicate the date when you applied for your CSQ (if you have not yet applied, please do so before applying for permanent residence)
Note: If you are not applying under a Quebec immigration program, check “no” for Question 6 a) and leave 6 c) blank."

I tried to check no as an answer indeed, but the thing is as soon as I put Calgary as a place where we intend to live, the whole section automatically gets shaded grey and the form doesn't let me to tick "no" as an answer. So would it be a right move to print it out and then tick the answer "No" with a pen or just leave it the way it is? Thank you very much, your input is really appreciated!

I think once it’s greyed out it’s becuase they know that section doesn’t apply to you based on a previous answer you supplied (ie in this case you selected a province other than Quebec), and that you don’t need to put anything in those sections. If you want to err on the side of caution i don’t think it would hurt to tick ‘No’ or write ‘N/A’ in those sections, but I don’t think it’s necessary (I didn’t do anything for greyed out sections, they also print out grey so the processing officer can see that). Hope that helps!

Thanks for your input! It really helps a lot and I will just leave those greyed out sections the way they are as well!
