IMM 0008: Last entry to Canada

I'm wondering what day I should enter in that field.
It's asking for date and location of last entry to Canada, do they want to know when I came
to Canada and got my current visa stamped into my passport?
Or actually the LAST entry, even if that's a one day trip across the border to the US to gas up my car?

Thanks.

LAST entry is when you came to Canada i.e. (landed date) or it could be your one day trip across the border to the US

Even if I don't get a new stamp or anything in my passport? Like there is NO proof
of me entering Canada after only one day to the US.
That seems weird to me.

Yes, but when I drive back into Canada I don't get a stamp there. So I only have US entry stamps.
It's not a trick question. They want to know the last time they entered Canada. Put down the date - irrespective of whether or not you got a us stamp b

Thanks a ton. So I'll be in Seattle for August long weekend, that's the last trip across the border before
I apply and I put the date I come back to Canada in August in that field?

if you aren't certain, don't answer. you just gave a confusing non-answer.

LAST entry is simply the last date you entered Canada, even if it was after going shopping in the US for a pack of gum. It's very simple...
