IMM 0008 - Help needed for correct form completion

a) in (2) where it asks for "How many family members, including you, are in this application" what should I put? My kids are already Citizens and I am only applying for my wife. So does this mean I should put "2" here? (myself and her)

b) In the dependants section, should I include the information for myself (the spouse who is also the sponsor) her parents and brother?

Question 3 - Write the total number of family members included in your application. This includes yourself, the principal applicant, and any family members, whether they will travel with you to Canada or not.

Note: Do not include the sponsor or family members that are already permanent residents or Canadian citizens. Individuals that will not be included in the undertaking should not be included in this total.


Family members - An applicant’s closest relatives, in the context of an application. It is defined as a spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children.

So if i understand you correctly, I should only write "1" and not include any dependants since everyone else is already a canadian citizen.
