Can anyone help me in answering questin no.13 Current country of residence? I am a worker in Saudi Arabia, but I'm from Philippines. I put Saudi Arabia as my current country of residence and the status is "worker".I put the date I started working in Saudi under "From" area and left "To" area blank.

The problem is, I can't generate barcode. Everytime i press "validate". It's asking for the "To" area.. I'm still working in Saudi so what should I put under "TO"??

Please help. Thanks

Try to put Philippines as your country of residence instead of Saudi Arabia. I think what the form's asking is where you are permanently residing as your status in Saudi Arabia is just a temporary worker. That's the reason why you could not generate barcode on the form.

Write under the "To" Section today's date (Or the date you will validate and sing out the form) and after you validate it and print it write "present" in a small font besides the date under the "To" Section.

I am just trying to get an idea of your timeline. I know you have it under your screen name, but it is a little confusing so I am trying to get it straight. Your an AINP, please tell me when did you put in your application for the CIO part ?

Hi ichay,

I remember this when I filled in my forms. Firstly, please put Saudi as your current country of residence. Then, if you have any validity of your work permit, put that date in "TO" field. Otherwise, just put either today's date OR the date when you validate your forms. It should be good. I had clarified this question from my representative while I was filling my forms.

All the best.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

1-you are in saudi Arabia right now, so your current country is Saudi Arabia, so your first answer is right
2- in "To" field, put the current date. dont write anything manually. That's all.

i have filled dozen of forms of my friends & family.

Hi RFarooqi,

Thank you..

When I filled out that form, I lived in Canada but someone told me I should not put Canada as my country of residence, but instead I have to put Philippines as my country of residence. I knew someone who put Canada as her country of residence and she got an email from Buffalo visa office to change her country of residence from Canada to Philippines. There was no problem with my application form, but I dont know, that was more than a year ago when I submitted my application. I dont want to confuse you but I want to tell you I dont give false information or suggestion. It was based on my experience. But then, that's your application, so its up to you what you will do. We are just here to help you, not to confuse you. ;)

I am BCPNP nominee and I did not submit my application at CIO or office within Canada, instead I was told to submit my PR application in Buffalo, New York.

Thanks ! So it took you about 15 months to get your PR.

15 months and 30 days to be exact before I got my PPR. Processing times for Buffalo PR application was 15 months but because it closed, my file was transferred to Seattle and that was probably the cause of delay. If you applied and submitted your application here in Canada, I heard it is way much faster. It will just take 6-12 months! ;D

First of all, big Congratulations on getting your PPR. The buffalo office states 15 months on the CIC website, but my application is in Ottawa and it has been about 8 months so far. In the AOR email, it said that they would finalize my application in 10 months, but the new applicants are getting AOR from Ottawa that say that they would finalize in 15 months so I believe processing time has gone up since they had to let go off some staff after the Buffalo Visa office shut down.
