Hello I was wondering if someone could answer this question for me, I was wondering how many photos I need for each family member?

I am sponsering my wife (only she will be going to Canada) and have listed her mother, brother and sister for details of family members.

It says on the Country Specific Instructions that "Supply nine (9) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself. Follow the instructions in your guide (see Photos in section on completing the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada) and in Appendix B: Photo Specifications."

However I have also read "There should be nine (9) photos included of each person(s) being sponsored."

Can someone please tell me how many photos I need. Thank you.

Hi,

I think you got carried away with family member! You must include your spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, and all of your dependent children, and those of your spouse or common-law partner, who are not already permanent residents or citizens of Canada. Form IMM 0008 top of page 2.

it asks for pictures of family members but you only need to submit pics of them if THEY are coming-if it is just your wife coming then you need only submit pictures for her-make sure they are passport pics with a WHITE background or they will not be accepted, when I submitted pics for my wife-I had 3 poses done and sent all 27 pics-that way if they don't like 1 set...you have 2 more they can choose from-A little more $ but it will avoid any hang-ups. Good luck-hope she is with you soon;D

Photos restriction are not only about the white bacground. They have to be a of the required size, and the person has to be of a certain proportion as specified...That is really important to make sure they are correct. You can check that your self easly with a ruler...I really don't think that it's worth it to get 3 sets done..and if the photographer give you back something that does not fallow the requirements, do not take the photo, just have them take them again... also be careful those photos are not the same as for the passport photos or th PR photos. all have different size and requirements...

Thank you for the information, yes we made sure to take the passport pics with a white background and we made sure that the photos meet the required size.
