mail inquiry, looked up the applica
My girlfriend applied on Oct 16th and received her authorization Nov 6th. She's a EU passport holder that already had a valid ETA. I don't know if it helped but on Nov 5th she sent an email to inquire on the status of her application and within 24 hours it was approved. It could be nothing but a massive coincidence but my feeling is someone saw the email inquiry, looked up the application and rather than just reply to the original email to confirm they had received it just went ahead and approved it.

As said previously there does not seem to be any sort of logical order with which they process these applications, some people receive an answer within a few days while others wait for weeks. If yours has been longer than the 10 business days they claim I would go ahead and send them an email asking for an update, it might just work.
How did u send the reminder email? did you add anything to subject line like Reminder or something?

I sent my application on 06 Nov and until now received no reply. I'm afraid to send a follow-up as it might even delay further since they mentioned that if you send multiple emails, your application might get delayed or possibly be refused. At least they should let us know the status if any. Recently I am getting the bad news that BC might go on lockdown soon. Hopefully will hear some good news in the coming days. Good day.
Did u get ur reply?

Is there any standard processing times for the approval? I see on website it says they will respond within 14 business days but it's taking way longer for some people. I am a Canadian PR and my boyfriend is in India with his CoPR from after March 18. We have dated for 2 years and he was in Canada as a student and then on his work permit as well. We applied on December 4 but still haven't heard anything back.

But how will he travel as only immediate family can travel on their COPR. A valid travel document is needed. Let us know if he gets approval and is able to travel on his COPR since it was issued after March.

He falls under the extended family member category right, he is an inland applicant coming back to Canada. Yes his CoPR is from after March 30 but he would fall under the exemption as I am a Canadian PR and currently in Canada. Right?

He still needs a TRV to travel even with the exemption since he can't travel on the COPR.. What do you mean he's an inland applicant?

He was in Canada when he applied for his PR, his work permit expired so had to leave. He has a TRV and CoPR already. Applied AL on December 4, 2020

That is just an express entry application which doesn't differentiate between inland and outland like family sponsorship.

Oh got it. Well, he has his TRV and CoPR, the only thing we are waiting on is the AL. We submitted all info via email on December 4.
