Hello Great members,
Today 26th February 2016 marks a great milestone in my life and that of my family. Our four year old son with DS has been granted. He has passed his medicals. When we did our meds in August, his were furthered and it has been a long wait since then. The Panel physician who did his meds was so impressed with the work that we have done with our son. Basically it all boils down to early intervention. When our son was diagnosed with DS at six months, we immediately started on therapy, every single weekday. My wife had to leave employment and it became her full time Job. A few years later he was ok, very normal in all his milestones except delayed speech. Three years later he enrolled in a normal school and is doing well. We submitted all these evidence from school plus medical records showing he did not have any congenital condition, no heart disease etc. and so the year that we decided to apply to immigrate as skilled worked provincial nominee it was a little easy as he had achieved most of his milestones.
Do not despair out there. There is hope and keep the faith. Above all, trust in God and always pray and believe. This is the happiest day of my life and we can’t wait for our son to land in Canada with his siblings. And more, take care of these special children and give them the best, leave the rest to God. it is emotional draining and the financial implications are huge, but it all pays!!!
Anyone out there needing advise please touch base. Mirza, you played a big part in your threads. They kept me going!
The long wait has come to pass...See you in Canada!
