What does undertaking mean in this for? and previous undertaking?

Persons included in previous undertakings you signed as a sponsor and that are still in effect

Persons included in previous undertakings you signed as a sponsor and that are not yet in effect

They want to know if you have sponsored or are sponsoring anybody else.


Persons included in previous undertakings you signed as a sponsor and that are still in effect - if you have sponsored anyone else and you are in the time period in which you are financially responsible for that person
Persons included in previous undertakings you signed as a sponsor and that are not yet in effect - if you are now sponsoring anyone else and the application is still processing or the person has not yet landed
