Bringing parents to Canada is not a right, it's a privilege. It was never guaranteed when people chose to immigrate here. This topic has been covered heavily on this forum and always causes an uproar. Would I love to bring my grandparents here? Yes. Do i understand that elderly people cause a strain on our social programs? Also yes. Think logically and don't react with your emotions. All of these people CHOSE to leave their parents behind for a better life in Canada. We all make choices in life, and you can't expect a whole country to pay for those choices.

And before you start calling people heartless, stop to remember that we are all on this forum to help people immigrate on a voluntary basis and are not being compensated for our time.
I'm sorry if anybody felt like this, it wasn't my intention. I'm really sorry, I just got carried away because sometimes I can feel the pain of people that cannot be reunited. It's not my case though but I can understand them. Its not easy if your parents are not in a good economical situation or worse in a really dangerous situation. I apologize to all those that felt attacked by my post. Sorry people.

I didn’t take offence. Everyone is entitled to their opinion , it’s not the first time I’ve been called heartless, and I’m sure it won’t be the last
I just tend to follow what the Government does, policies they are implementing etc . They work for the public ,they sometimes get confused it’s the other way around, that’s why there’s elections, it’s like a performance review

Good luck

I hope you are not an inmigrant or have parents that need to be reunited with you. You are a heartless person if you are an inmigrant and think the politics were "partisans". When they tap your door, you are going to cry for help. You need to be more empathetic. A lot of people in these forums are cold as ****. I suggest you get off your high horse.

Wow,
I think we are all immigrants of some sort?

Definition of a true Canadian:
1) Not afraid to speak their mind.
2) Apologize for everything.
3) Compassionate
4) Likes to ride on ' high horse ' ( I prefer Clydesdale's myself )
5) Maple syrup and crown royal goes with everything.
