Hey guys!

I am a Canadian citizen but I have been living in Mexico for pretty much my whole life. My parents were missionaries so I was basically home schooled and am soon getting a GED diploma.

My question is if there is any way I could get any for of government support for my collage studies? Is there any way at all I could get a bit more for living expenses?

I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks

Dear Bodhi,

It is possible if you are a Canadian Citizen.

Federal/ Provincial government assistance is offered to all Can Citizens and PRs subject to a few conditions. If you are a resident of Ontario, as pointed out by Steaky, you have to apply through the OSAP program. Similarly, all provinces (except provinces like Quebec, North Wwest or Nunavut which have provincial assistance only). Search the official website of either of the institution you intend to join or ministry of education.

All the best
