I'm an international student but convicted. Does it affect my study permit?

Hi,
So I have been convicted for fraudulent of 2500$ and I have paid all my fines and I am currently on probation for 6 months. It's a suspended sentence, meaning I do have it on my record.
My study permit is valid till 2022 and I just wanna make sure the fact that I'm convicted won't have any impact on my immigration status.

I do not plan on staying here in Canada more than I need to. I'll finish my degree and go back to my country. So I wont be applying for Permanent Residence neither for Citizenship (Perhaps I am no longer eligible for these two anyway). But yeah, it was never my plan to stay here forever.

So, Please enlighten me. Do I have to file any certain application for it to NOT be a problem?
Thank you so much.

I think you should finish your probation first , that’s what you should be concerned about . Oh well sad to hear that you got involved in something like this in the first place .

It's bad. It was a genuine mistake from my end but it was something that could have been prevented from the company level too. Anyway, it is what it is now. I'm on probation and it will end in 5 months 10 days.
I can guarantee that I wont be involved in anymore wrongdoings. Learned my lesson I guess. But I just wanna make sure that it wont have any other impact on my study permit. Do you think it will?

Oh so it has to do with where you work or what ? Meanwhile you need to talk to an immigration lawyer for your own good . What province are you ?

I'm in Newfoundland. No, my work is fine. Where I work it doesn't require any background check and its a minimum pay job so you can figure out.
I did speak to an immigration lawyer and she said I should submit an application just so it never affects my study permit but that would cost 5000$. 5 thousand dollars after what I have had to deal with, is really something I can't do anymore. I had to pay all the fines, pay my lawyer and now this? I can't do it anymore, even if I want to, my financial situation wont let me. So any suggestions?
I am studying and working like normal, no problems but it's just that after talking to the immigration lawyer I am a bit worried.

If you trust your lawyer I think you should do what she says and explore all the possibilities you have because they know better and if you believe in God you should also pray about it . Also it would be better to speak with your parents ; that’s if they are the ones sponsoring you , tell them the truth and let them help you with the funds you require to fully sort yourself out . Since it was an honest mistake make them understand.

Yeah my parents know it about from Day 1. That's not the issue here and I do want to do as the immigration lawyer says but I just do not have the funds. That's why I am trying to get some answers from here, can a conviction of 2500$ fraud affect my study permit. That's what I wanna know. I dont wanna be living with more anxiety issues.
