Im a refugee and I want to divorce my wife. Im waiting for my PR as a refugee but my wife now is having an affair with someone. But my question is will she get a PR status when I get mine soon? Please enlighten my mind. And how about when I file a divorce and she will not agree. What can I do about it? Thank you for any input.

If you are in Canada (and have been for at least 1 year) then you can file for a divorce in Canada. If your wife is included in your PR application as a dependent and you no longer wish her to be a dependent then you must call CIC as soon as you can and have her removed. It will be easier to have her removed if you have already begun your divorce proceedings.

Thank you so much. But what if my PR is granted soo. Bfore I get to start my divorce just in case? Will there be any effect? And whatbif she will not sign our divorce paper? What should I do?
