I'm a Dependent but I am 23 years old now

Hi, does anyone here have this situation. Our application was already had a DECISION MADE mark. Will the result affect my current age. Because during our application(being a children/dependent) I am 18 years old back then 2009. But now I am 23, I've heard that dependents should be 18-19 years old of age. Do you think they'll consider it?

Because the application has been submitted when you were 18 years old, the age is locked in. So you are okay.

Pahelp naman po, 2012 pa ung application ko 22years old nku nung maipasa application namin. Till now wla pa update sa status ko ang nkalgay lang application recieved june 5,2012.. may pagasa pba aku maaproved? bkt kya wla pang update sa status ko.. 2years na nkalipas wla pang balita ang hrap po kc mag25 nku..

My father sponsored me last june 5,2012, and that time im 22 years old.. the update on my ecas is only application recieved june 5,2012.. its been two years and no latest update yet.. im worried because im turning 25 this year..

It doesn't matter .Your age was locked in at the time of the application.As long as you don't marry or get into a commonlaw relationship you are ok . All new applications from Aug 1st 2014 had to be 19 or under.

If you were 22 years old at time of application, that means you must have been a TYPE B dependent at that time. So you would have had to show continuous enrollment of full time school and dependence on your parents.

Also, you must maintain status of Type B dependent during entire application processing. So that means staying enrolled in full time school. As soon as you finished school or changed to just part time studies, you would no longer qualify as a dependent and need to be removed from the application.

Of course if you were age 21 when you submitted app, then you are Type A dependent so it wouldn't matter about your school.

My application was kinda confusing and hard.. my 1st application was 2011 im 21 years old the sponsor is my fathers wife, but then it was widrawn.. 2012 my father became an immigrant and a letter that says if he wish to include us in his paper it can be so we sent again another application medical done in 2012 and papers sent by our father..

You have more than an age problem. If you father didn't include you in his application for PR status and you weren't medically examined at the time, the sponsorship is going to be refused.

What do you mean the 2011 application was withdrawn? How old were you when the next application was submitted?
As I said, if you were 22 you are a Type B dependent, and you must be in school full time right now to stay as a dependent.

i dont know maybe the new wife of my father widrew it,, 22 when the 20 application was sent.. maybe ill just wait, if it was really for me then good but if not then its ok.. mybe ill just think positive
