unless you re really fearing something in the usa, they is no need to apply inland which will probably take you 3 years as most people are taking with request of new medicals, police checks etc(cic will ask for updated stuff) i just read a lady on this forum who has done medicals 3 times now due to inland delay. Look at it this way, you can be a resident by the summer if u apply outland. And if you get rejected for your inland they is NO APPEAL. The worst that could happen on an outland is getting interview which of course is straight forward if u are genuinely married.

Beware of who you get immigration advise from too. Canada has many many false lawyers in this regard. They will scare you into using most suitable ways for them.
Not fearing anything but the price and inconvenience of travel (I do not enjoy flying). I've already submitted my fbi background check and they said it should be complete jan 12th (or to call back on jan 12th seeing as how i submited it in like sept it shouldnt take THAT LONG.. youd think lol). I've also completed my physical (which was more or less the dr just pressing on my stomache and asking me what medicines i take... literally the least physical physical i've ever had) and am going to do the blood and urine and xrays on jan 27th. (or sooner i have yet to call to see if I can get an earlier appointment).

Thanks so much guys for pointing this out to me! I think ill go ahead and make a call to the immigration help line they supply on the government website just to double check. But this sounds so much more promising the the year it says we'de have to wait haha.

Does anyone happen to have the link to the inland application? I had the outland application paperwork all filled out :/ am I able to use any of those forms?

rhcohen2014 I think you need to calm down. Once again. I am not going to take some random persons opinion on the internet as 100% truth. I do plan to look into it. Thanks for your help regardless of your slightly insane attitude :)

I have been told from other forums and an immigration consultant, and the call center. It just doesn't make any sense how they would allow someone to apply with an outside application while inside of canada.
The suggestions are correct that you are receiving here on this forum apply OUTLAND if you go the INLAND route and if you leave Canada for any reason your application can be cancelled. No Refund and you have to start completely over again including new fees.

The information you are getting from a consultant is to allow that firm to make money from you when things begin to get long time wise. IE: new police clearances, new medicals new and or updated forms all these things can happen with an INLAND application. Anything new that the consultant has to fwd on your behalf is simple you will be charged for that service period. If you use a Consultant/lawyer you will no doubt be paying much more then what normally would be paid for the application process. A consultant is looking at you as an INVESTMENT in time for a high monetary return.

As for calling the call center that is exactly what it is a "call center" Call it once with one question and call it again the next day with the same question and you will get two different answers. Experienced that one myself a few times.

There are a great many of us here on this forum that have and or are currently going through the process. We are talking from experience when we offer our ideas.

Of course the final decision is yours....INLAND currently about 3yrs....OUTLAND achieve PR most likely by summer as others have stated.

i feel sorry for you that you can't seem to grasp the concept that no one on this thread was suggesting you apply inland. they are all suggesting the exact same thing i'm suggesting which is to continue with an outland application. if you want to apply inland so bad and want the link to it, you're such a smartie pants, why don't you try google?

As said above, don't bother with the call centre. They are not well trained and give form answers based on what you say. We've seen many examples of people who have received completely wrong advice from them.

I believe you said you were filling out the inland app, so are you looking for outland now? Here's outland http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp. You can use some of the inland forms that you've already filled out, as some of the forms are the same for both apps. However, be very careful not to mix up inland forms that aren't in the outland app, as that could cause some confusion when CIC receives the app.

He also did post the specific wording in the CIC INLAND application guide that explains this. Here is the actual link for you: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5289ETOC.asp
The family class is aimed at faster processing of spouse or common‑law partner applications from applicants outside Canada.

Processing times for spouses or common‑law partners in Canada are generally longer.

The person being sponsored can apply to a visa office outside Canada to take advantage of the family class processing standard. Processing times for applications processed in Canada are posted on our Web site.

And I too can speak from personal experience in telling you the CIC call centre is often a joke. Some agents are great, and others seem clueless (perhaps the brand new ones). I got different responses to the same question when back when I used the call centre when putting together our app.

Quick question though. If you have no children and you do not plan to use a representative, do you still have to include those forms in the application? Just like blank or. Should I not bother?

No need to include them. Just mark N/A on the checklist.
