I’ve done my MBA from India JNTU-k, but as WES is not giving equivalent to Masters, I’d like to chose another organisation.Suggest me which is best and faster. And also, if I apply only MASTERS, will they consider to masters it do I need to send UG transcript as well?

Hello everyone,
You all must have heard people recommending to get ECA done from WES (World Education Services), especially in India. But if you have studies MBA from India, do not opt for WES. They will give it a Canadian equivalency of - 'One year Post graduate diploma' instead of 'Master's degree'.

I have studied MBA fron Nirma University, Gujarat. When I got my ECA done, I was awarded One year PG diploma equivalency. I raised a query as I had 2 years of full-time management degree, they responded that WES only gives Master's equivalency to MBA done from IIMs or IITs.

So please opt for University of Toronto for ECA, it may be a little costly, and takes 2 weeks more than WES, but it will give you more accurate equivalency. But if you have studied MBA from IIMs & IITs, you can opt for WES.

PS: WES takes 6 weeks to process an application, after it receives your documents in hard copy.

Bro, can we apply evaluation of only MBA from IQAS, if I have UG from WES?
Will IQAS evaluate and provide me certificate of MASTER?

Hi everyone, I reviewed the IQAS website, it says, "Master’s degree (2-year program following a 3-year Bachelor’s degree)" where it needed 2 years of Bachelors degree "Generally compares to the completion of a one-year Master’s degree.''
My question: I have done bachelors 3 yrs from India and WES recognized it as 4 years bachelors ( I got the report today). If I only get my MBA assessed from IQAS and if they only give me a one-year Master’s degree, can I still chose "Masters" in the CRS calculator??

To my understanding XLRI is in AIUs list of pgdm courses deemed equivalent to MBA. In that case IQAS will provide you masters.

Yes. Check this https://www.alberta.ca/iqas-education-guide-india.aspx. As per this doc XLRI PGDM is considered masters by IQAS.

I did BCOM and MBA from Lucknow univ and UPTU. Also, I have got the desired 8777 score in IELTS, now the question is for the ECA.
As WES, have changed the rules such that university needs to send the transcript directly to them (but univ says they cannot send).
So from which organization I should go for the ECA assessment.

Also, Please suggest the process time as well. Moreover, I read somewhere that for IQAS only highest degree needs to be evaluated. so in case of Master, do I need to just send the Master's transcripts or BCOM as well.

Need information because you must have gone thru the same situation a few weeks or months back. Please share your experience, research and actions.

I need urgent help with the same confusion and complication.
I did Bachelor's from DU and Masters from PTU. WES gave the equivalency of double bachelors.
1. Can I go for another evaluation in order to have as I already have my EE profile in pool?
2. If yes to above question then which organisation? (I see most in favor of CES)

Hello everyone,

I have MA from IGNOU. Where do you guys suggest getting my ECA done?

My second issue may sound complicated and I will try to make it as clear as possible.

I live in Kuwait and I have done my BA from Arab Open University, Kuwait which is affiliated with The Open University, UK.
When you graduate from AOU, you receive two certificates; one issued by Kuwait and the other issued by UK. The certificate issued by Kuwait is in Arabic and does not mention anything about UK. The certificate issued by UK clearly states that it is a validated program at Arab Open University.

My concern is: which BA certificate should I send for ECA? I spoke to my university here, and they told me that they will only send whatever I give them and have nothing to do in choosing which one to be sent.

I hope I am making my point clear. Can anyone help me in this matter?

Lastly, do I have to send both, transcript and certificate, for MA and BA? or should I stick to sending certificates only?
