If we order GCMS notes, how long will it take?

Hi,

We are thinking of ordering our GCMS notes, does anyone have any idea of how long it will take? We applied as common law outland.

I have a question regarding GCMS notes.

I used a representative to file my application. Therefore, the email address with the visa office is my immigration lawyers.

Now if I want to get the GCMS notes, can my wife give me permission and if I use my personal email address with CIC to get the GCMS, will it change the official email address they have on file for who to contact for other activity not related to GCMS. I do not want to change the address on file, just for GCMS I do not want to go through lawyer but just on my own.

No, it says on the form it is a one time only permission and if you later want to do another request you need another permission form.
 
Ours took 45, but that was weird, Most take 30 days.
We had asked for ours to be sent via email. and I guess they decided to send it on a cd regular mail so we didn't get it till 45 days.

if you pay $5 it takes 20 days, otherwise 30 days - under privacy act
