Hi all,
I want to know if my brother land in Canada and he will not come back, do I get 5 points because of blood relation.
I mean if he get his PR within a month then can we get points from him because I have applied and I am waiting my file number. And because he spends only months in Canada not one year but he have pr and he didn’t come back to home country.

And what requirements they need from me for proving of relation ship.

Thanks and regards
Omar

"Award five points if the applicant or accompanying spouse or common- law
partner has a relative (parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, child of a
parent, child of a grandparent, or grandchild of a parent) who is residing in
Canada and is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident."

does not mention any duration... so, once he has the PR Card, you should be fine...

You brother has to live in Canada in order to get the 5 points... if he is not there, how is this going to help you adapt?

You will need copy of his birth certificate, copy of his permanent residence card and other document that shows he is currently living in Canada, like electricity bill, bank statements, apartment lease contract, etc.

yes thats what i am saying he will be going there soon couse he have visa.
once he get his pr i will update them my application status to get five points because of my brother

Even if He is not yet financially well established in Canada? I mean, if I get my visa and land in Canada before I get a job, can my sister claim adaptability points when she applies for immigration? Seniors please comment.

No need to financially established, he is not sponsoring him, just need to land and have a PR status.
