Hello everyone. I have a multiple entry visitor visa to Canada until 2028. Now I have been in the country for more than six months, I applied for a Visitor Record a month before the expiration date. But there is no answer yet, and in January I would like to leave for Mexico and return back to Canada. Will there be problems upon exit and entry, because I have not yet officially received approval to extend my stay here?
I will be grateful for answers and advice, thank you!

Visitor record would no longer be relevant if you leave Canada. You should notify IRCC when you leave Canada. You will be evaluated as a new visitor when you return to Canada. Whether you can enter will depend on reason for visit, funds, ties yo your home country, etc. A visa allows you to reach a Canadian border but it doesn’t ensure entry.

Thank you! So, I think it is a bad idea
