hello frnds
i am the new member of ur forum, but iam not in the queue. i have got the visa, & the biggest confusion started.
i never took it seriously, niether i wanted to go nor i was sure abt it.
as i am running my own business here very successfully i am earning round abt 50000 rupees monthly.
i am not able to sleep from 4-5 days . i am very much confused if i shud move by winding up my business or i shud forget abt d visa.
there is nobody in my family who can luk after my business. only two straight ways in front of me are either to sell each & every thing & move or to destroy the landing papers.
can anybody help me to come out of this situation???????
o god i am totally confused & helpless................

I would suggest you to evaluate yourself thoroughly. If you are earning good money here but want a better life, then move. I too am facing the same situation, only difference I have not got the visa yet.

If you have confidence and ready to do any job you get and you are hardworking, then you can open a business there also, not initially but surely after some time. However, if you have ego and cant do odd jobs or survival jobs like pizza delivery, security guard, driver, etc, then you should stay back.

You can also do one thing, try to keep the business and take a leave for one month, go to Canada, assess the situation there and then you can decide. If you get a good opportunity, stay there, otherwise come back and continue your business.

Believe me, Canada is lot better in terms of living.

Best of luck

There is one middle way, go, land and stay for around one month, get PR card and SIN card, then in next five years if you stay there for 2 years you will have chance of renewal of PR. In simple words, if you get PR card now you will have chance to go back after 3 years and continue your stay.can anybody help me to come out of this situation???????

When our visa is in process, we are very eager to recv our stamped PP. when we recv them back.. then real tension starts.
Immigration is very hard decision. It can make us or break us..

Hence do not go by what other say... do what ur head suggests...

101% right.

Hi Ganga,

If you are living in good condition here in India, i will not suggest to go there. Initial phase is very difficult as you may have to work on odd jobs which you will never want to do and you will just survive. But good point is living standard, but again that you will get only if you get good job. I know many persons who are successful and unsuccessful too.
So decision will be yours and your luck will play a major role that after some years you can be a successful business man there or thinking returning back home with frustration.
So my advice is if your money oriented guy go on.....
but if you are social guy then do not go......you will feel like living in concrete jungle where no body cares each other......

These are my personal opinion and experience.......i may be wrong....

Earning good money has a long distance relation with having a good life ....

here there cannot be a good life, unless you are from the ambani family or something like that.

Please ask this question from yourself that what do YOU want, not only for yourself but your family as well.

What i can tell you is that if you are a successful businessman in India, then you can do much better in canada and earn much more than 50000. I have a 4 lacs package and living in my hometown, but i will move definitely.

What i and many other senior members will tell you is that, " ASK this question to yourself and not from forum members".

from my side best of luck for your decision.

Hello guys,
I am also in the same situation. I am getting salary about 40000 P.M. My husband is earning same in his fiels. I got visa. I am happy but not too excited. i do not have any friends & relatives in canada. I have to start a new life there. Will have to struggle, have to study again. I am also confused.
Some people say there is good standard of living, quality of life, children education.

Now qorax, PMM what is your suggession that if a person is already in a good situation, should they migrate. My DMP said me that u both r in good situation then y do u want to leave India. Generally people who r earning less or doing nothing want to immigrate (it is his opinion not mine)

Sulekha

Dear all,

I myself am a manager in a leading pvt bank making good money but still i am planning to immigrate because in the long run india will be a rat race country see our population, politicians, infrstructure etc etc countries far behind us are today ahead of us. We have one funda chalta hai chalta hai which is the worst in the world.

Although india does have a very strong family and religious system but in the future the kids are far ahead of their peers in india so if you take a long term view the short term struggle for long term gains is very much recommended.

We should land and try for new life if we fail there is no problem added to these educational qualif and command over language and social skills to gel with local canadians will count a lot. also tremendous adjustment to weather will be required. We indians are a bit laid back and we need to work hard when we are in abroad for future gains so ALL THE BEST and have faith is my view. 8)

Hi,

Story is almost the same of guys from India who are getting Visa for quite sometime because when they had applied they might be earning less but now, when they have got visa, they might be getting multi-fold salaries. This is quite natural, but there are some other factors like social security, quality of life, official system, equality before law, discipline, future of our children - and of course climate, which you cannot have here in India even if you are earning crores of Rupees. Here, Govt. spends 100% money on developmental works but only 25% or even less reaches down the line. And of course, this is the line of everywhere in India "sab chalta hai". Here the system will not change even after 20 years because our leaders will not allow to change the system for their own interests. One step ahead two steps backward. Politics has become multi-million business in India. You invest 5 crores you will get 500 crores in 5 years.

It is upto individual where he wants to live his/her life. But one thing is sure when you start afresh you have to make your best efforts in your field.

Choose what you want, you have to do hard work here or there.

If you cannot leave your business, you can go there once for a month or so and get your PR and come back. You can decide only after going there, you have to touch the water after all.

Lets put it this way... If i were you and had kids or planning to raise a family i would move to Canada....

My Two cents

Before going there publish your resume on Canadian sites and see the response.
In one month if the response is not good.Think Twice !!

Me & my wife work as manager in MNC IT companies and making good money as per indian standards.

I have work in canada for 8 months in 2006, the life is any day better than India.
That's is what lures me.

he is a businessman... resumes for what?

If you are business man how did you qualify for FSW? What work experience do you have in the 38 NOC?
Secondly 50,000 Rs. is nothing compared to the quality of life you will have in Canada. Most people on this forum I have observed are looking for a better standard & quality of life, money for most is secondary. Being an equal opportunity country, Canada will offer you good money even if you are in a survival job.

In India in the next 8-10 years their is going to be a massive Resources crunch with the fight for survival (that is what we do in India, we don't live we only survive) for the fittest only. Already their is no water, electricity etc. Road space is at a premium, prices & taxes are shooting through the sky. Population is going totally out of control, people shoot each other for parking spaces. Dirt & filth are common on the streets, the heat is unbearable during summers. What more can be a reason for not moving out of India?
