If a Canadian PR leaves Canada with visa exempt UK passport, are they tracked?

Why is a CBSA report needed? If they don't show exits?
The airline told me they disregard information after 6 months, so how can I show the border officer I left for a year and not more? I didn't get a stamp upon entering Europe they just looked at my passport and I walked through.

CBSA report is needed because it shows the dates when a person enters Canada. Although a person might not get a stamp upon entering Europe, a person can still record his dates leaving and entering between countries.

Hi Steak y, thanks for the reply, I wonder though, if a person leaves for a year, and then returns, if they've no European stamps in their passport, how can a border officer really know how long that person was gone for?
I'm genuinely not looking to fraud the system but I'm more bothered about the ease at which others can do so if they try.
