Is it true that marking is more strict in general training when compared to academic module?Please clarify.

No dont think so...Acadamic has to be bit tougher because their reading and writting sections are diffrent - this is what I understand. Belive me there r migrants in Australia who earned 7 band and cant say a sentence without mistake...try our taxi drivers here...

my friend took Academic and mine was General at the same date. Academic is harder when it comes to reading topics. But all other categories were almost the same.

We may lose point in wrong spellings or wrong answers...in writing be careful with spellings..write in proper paragraphs have a certain flow to it. ..

For Reading and Writing - General and Academic have different format and difficulty
For Listening and Speaking - Same format and test type

For the grading or marking - it is the same standard (language ability, lexical resource, coherence and cohesiveness) applied to the four categories whichever Module (academic or general).

This is because I took 3 exams already ;D (2 academic and 1 general) - affected by expiry date (1year for immigration). Almost the same score for the 3 exams.

i want to know that we are so confused due to ielts score.plz plz if someone really understand my question answer me plz...........actually i have discuss this issue on forum before but my lawyer is making me double minded the problem is that my sister wants to apply with arranged employment and she is scoring 67 points without ielts as she got basic level in ielts...means less than 5.5 , less than moderate..it is only basic level english....but my lawyer was again and again saying that it will cause no problem as they only concern with ur total score that shoud be 67...there is no particular requirement for ielts score....i told him that i got many suggestions on this forum from many people that it is not sufficient...but he is saying that as he is a lawyer and he knows that 5 or 4.5 band will be ok if u have 67 points
plz plz plz plz plz plz pzl help me what should i do with my sister case as lawyer was saying that i m giving u 100% guarantee that ielts will cause no problem...4.5 is ok
plz pzl pzl pzl give me sensior advice...is the lawyer really true...is 4.5 band really work

Hi,your lawyer is wrong,one of my friend has done this mistake already and he was refused as one should get atleast 5.5 bands in each module otherwise the impact will b negative and your sister will loose her chance

actually one of my frend with 5 band got medical request........how lucky he is..... he has applied under noc 1221 admin officer.....his basic level english has worked.. but i m worried about my sister.taht guy has following ielts
reading 4 band
writing 4.5 band
spaeking 5 band
listening 5 band
how he has got medical request with this band .it is basic level
plz guide me.......
