Everyone knows that IELTS is must for Federal application.
I am from India and wants to know that which IELTS exam should be given ?
1. Student IELTS ?
or
2. General IELTS ?

It will be great help if some one gives their expert comment on the above question with respect to the upcoming new 2013 federal law for Federal Imigration.

You need to take General module of the IELTS to apply for Canadian immigration.

Yeah it is must .... if you are applying for student visa u should sit for academic one or for all other streams u have to sit for General Exam... Hope this helps

Can i ask u about caips notes as i hd applied on fsw1 in december 2011 in sydney visa office. I recently hd an enquiry regarding my work experience in australia.but i wanna know how many points i was alloted for my canada pr application.would it be clear if i order them and will it even tell me as to how far is my application as well....is it a good idea or simply wait since i hd work experience enquiry 2 weeks ago only..whats ur opinion....

because, here in india, no one is responding for the IELTS because of the coming change in 2013 Federal laws for imigration of Skilled worker.

IMHO it doesnt work that way .u hv to sit for General exam

Dear Bali,

CAIPS notes are a great source of information. Yes you will come to know about the points alloted and the current position of your file. I ordered CAIPS and came to know some interesting facts about my application. I hope everything goes well with your application.

Can u plz tell me direct n quickest way to get caips or plz send me a link to order it online(the way u got urs).n i read it on this forum that these notes are in their own technical wordings as in codewords...how would i be able to figure it out if so...and wht kindda infomation will it give me to be specific if u dont mind telling me plz....do u reckon that since they hv called to confirm abt ma job experience here in australia...does it mean that they hv started working on my file but the online status is still showing in process..should i rely online status or they usually delay in updating it?just ur opinion on this plz...

Dear Bali,

I got my GCMS notes through my wife,as she is already in Canada. You can get a very clear view about what to do from http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf . We get GCMS notes instead of CAIPS notes these days. GCMS notes are very straightforward and easy to understand. All the activities and information regarding your file is there in GCMS notes.

Your file will stay In Process until a decision is made on your application. On a positive note, decision made should only come after you are done with your medicals. So relax, your ecas status is normal.
