IELTS Validity

Hi, I had sent my documents through courier to NS on 29 apr. It would have reached by 5 or 6th of may. Hopefully waiting for the reply from NS soon. Have some questions for this forum mates,hope u could clear it for me.

I have my IELTS exam results dated as 5th September 2009. Hope this will be valid for 1 year for this PR process. I hope I may get the AOR by end of next week. If so, I will have all my documents ready and send it to visa office immediately once I receive my first AOR.

Q1). I would like to know whether if i send my documents within 4th September 2010 to visa office will that be fine or should I receive my second AOR within the mentioned period before?

Q2). Also I would like to know whether my IELTS results would be taken into consideration for issuing visa by visa office?

Hope I will get some inputs from you mates. Thank you.

Yes if they received your documents before 4th Sep then its fine you dont have to re-take.

Q2). Also I would like to know whether my IELTS results would be taken into consideration for issuing visa by visa office?
Yes the result which you will submit before 4th Sep with your full documents will be used to make decision on your language.

Hi,

As 23rd July is already gone you cant use that result anymore. Ielts is valid for only 1yr for canadian immigration and yours is expired on 23rd July so you have to give the ielts again.

Hi,

I am not sure why he is saying that, but CIC requirement is that IELTS should not be more than 1 yr old. Did you submit your IELTS to CIC at first stage ? If yes then this might be the reason why consultant is still using the old result.

I agree with Saki.

IELTS result is valid for one year and if the applicant can submit IELTS result to Visa Office within this period then IELTS is acceptable.

Hi,

AOR does not matter as long as your application is received by visa office before 4th Sep you are fine. Some visa offices takes 2 months to send AOR.
Lock in date is when visa office received your full documents.

Hello All,

No one needs to take tension mind my words about the validity of IELTS "IT SHOULD NOT BE OLDER MORE THAN ONE YEAR WHILE SUBMITTING THE DOCUMENTS TO CIO NS". You can see my my case development in my signature I took IELTS on 15th of Jan-09 and sent my file to NS on 26th of October-09 (in ecas its showing that CIO NS got my file on 08th of January-10), which I understand that it must be returned due to some reason and resubmitted by my Lawyer and did not tell me even as on today. And I got my file approed from CIO NS on 01st of March-10 and sent full docs to Visa office on 08th of March-10 which they received on 12th of March-10 (as per ecas and courier tracking number)

My IELTS got expired on 15-Jan-10. But I got my visa through.

So don't take tension about its validity and be remember it should not be expired while submitting the docs to CIO Ns.
