ielts validity

My initial app received by ns on 25 nov,2009 and my 01 yr ielts validity expired'on 06 dec,2009. I have mentined in the initial app that i already given a approved test.

Now i got AOR from canada today.
I m now preparing my full docs which will send to singapore

Can i send my existing ielts,,,or i need to retake????

Pls help me with ur valuable suggestions......

Pls Undergo Ielts Afresh..
 
See Page 9 of instruction guide it says test results should not be older than one year from date of application submittion.

Now it is not clearly written whether it is talking about application submittion to CIO or Visa office, but the entire text is written in context of Visa office.

It may sound little harsh but to be on safer side and to avoid delays I will recommend to take IELTS again.

No, as long as it no older than one year, from the date the application was submitted to the CIO it is fine.

I m really confused whether i need to retake ielts or not.

CIO did not mention anything about my ielts,,i only mentioned that i have given an approved test but did not send a copy,,,

Now i m confused what to do,,,

Sr members PMM, RUPESHHARI, LEON, QUAROX and others pls reply......

As I said, I was guessing when I said it is better to take IELTS again.

But when PMM says it is not required, I will suggest you to follow his advise.

This question has been asked before. I would advice you to check with Reet. Reet had same question couple of weeks back. She might have got exact answer as she also submitted full papers to local visa office.

My answer would be same as PMM. 1 Years validaity of IELTS when you file your application with CIO not with local Visa office.


But agin I would suggest you to check with Reet or experts/seniors

Singapore Office visa instructions guide says that the IELTS score must be no less than 1 year old when the application is submitted. It doesnt say whether its CIO or Singapore office. but my general sense is they meant Singapore office. so my understanding is if you took IELTS within the 1 yr period when submitting the detailed documents to Singapore, its ok.

But I'd still send an email/FAX to Singapore office about the confusion and their advice.
I got satisfactory and helpful replies about any query I sent to SG office before.

I suggest you read the instructions http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf page 9 where CIC suggest you take the language test before you file your application to CIO

Ok. I think PMM is right

EG7 told about clearing ielts before applying to CIO,,,,so ielts should b valid at the time of application to CIO

It is not matter of question when i wll send full docs as because the process starts from canada not from singapore.

I think eg7 doc has not been modified for the last 01 yr as because previously applicants sent their application directly to chc singapore(simplified) n it refers to ielts validity for 01 yr upon submission.
