You don't need several books to practice IELTS. Some of the books i used are ESOL IELTS 1,6,4,7 and please avoid Barron its just a waste of time.

Hi Everybody, when i took my IELTS Test I bought the Road to Ielts preparation material (google it), for me, it was very useful, I had to opportunity to get familiarized with the test format and it had a lot of practice exercises with corrections of all skills from easy to really difficult, this material included 3 actual tests. I took my IELTS on may 19th, this year and I got:

Listening: 7
Reading: 8
Writing 6.5
Speaking 7.5

I only studied one month before, I thought my writing part was better and my reading not that good but it turned out to be the opposite ha ha.
Get familiarized with writing structures for formal and informal texts. Good luck everybody
