Hello All,

My IELTS Score are below

Speaking:6.5
Listening:8
Writing:6.5
Reading :6

As per the CIC website "cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp",I computed as per the chart for the corresponding CLB level below

Speaking:CLB 8
Listening:CLB 9
Writing:CLB 8
Reading:CLB 7

Below are my queries

1.Is this the right computation?

2.Our Immigration Agent mentioned we have to fill the express entry form without converting to CLB score, which made my profile ineligible.
Not sure if we have to update the converted CLB level or IELTS score directly into the express entry form. Can someone help.

3.Can someone please compute my CLB for my IELTS Score,if my computation is incorrect.

Thanks in advance.
Vinush

According to the CIC site, you will be CLB 7 as the lowest score in reading is dragging you down.

Check this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

You need to get at least 7 in Reading, writing and speaking and 8 in listening to get CLB 9. CLB 9 and above gets maximum point in skill transferability

But your IELTS score is still eligible. You need min CLB level in each which, I believe, you already have.

If he has a job offer, then this is good, otherwise to improve scores, he should try to give it another shot

Yes. He can improve the score by getting CLB 9 or more in all sections but he qualifies the eligibility criteria. He mentioned in his post that his scores are making his profile ineligible.
