Hi,

I wonder do I actually need the reading and writing parts of the test to apply for the citizenship?

I mean, should I prepare for those parts at all? Since they are only asking about speaking and listening points in their requirements:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS), general training, not the academic version You must have achieved a score of:
4.0 or higher in speaking, and
4.5 or higher in listening. (Please note: If the test was done before November 28, 2008, we will accept a level 4 or higher);
Also, how hard is it to get those points? How strong my English should be?

Thanks.

When you take IELTS - you must take all four sections. You can't just choose what to take and what not to take.

Do the practice and find out what your level is.

You can google for practice materials.

True but for citizenship you only require 4.0 and 4.5 in speaking and listening

1. Your choice but personally I would go with Celpip where you can do only the Speaking and Listening tests. See Celpip LS General

Please address this to OP, not me - I'm a citizen now, therefore I don't need to take any tests or make any choices
