Hi, I just took the IELTS exam and I am currently awaiting my results. The agency I am working with says I would need a 7 to get accepted. Is this 7 out of 9? I took the General Training test. I think I did pretty well but I have doubts that I may not get 7 to pass which would be very dissapointing. I paid $160 for the exam. I doubt if I would pass the second time if did not on the first try.

How lenient are the graders on the General Training exam for Immigration purposes? How about Academic?

I was told that I have to get a 7 out of 9 on all four exams to get accepted for the application. Is this correct?

Which application are you doing? For immigration purposes, you are supposed to do the general training.

So if they told you that you need 7 in all categories, I assume that they have already calculated your points and established that you need that many points. In any case, you already took the test, there is nothing you can do about it now but wait for results.

I may have to call them and ask again. I may me misinformed. I may have to speak to the consultant and not the workers that they hired.
I don't think they have calculated my points. They had just looked at my application and documents. I need 67 minimum right? I mean I meet all other requirements.

Well they have charged me a total of $1800 total. $900 was due at the signing contract, the next $900 is due when the application is completed plus $550 for Canadian Consulate fee.

Were they any good? Are you applying in the US? I have not hired anyone yet but I am thinking about getting David Cohen.

So far so good with Cohen, in my case I never talk to anybody, everything my email, and they respond very quickly my questions.
