Ielts Score Impact

Hi Group Members,

I have my csr tool score currently is 387, my ielts score are listening 8.5, speaking 7, writing 7 and reading 6.5. However the moment I charge my reading score to 7 my csr tool score become 429. I need help to understand its it correct. 42 points increased due to 0.5 increases in reading score?. I have no Canadian study or work experience. No nomination, family in canada, not married and no international work experience.

That is correct. You should read the breakdown of how they calculate your score and you will know. In case you are using a tool provide by non-CIC party, below is the correct tool:

Scoring high in IELTS is the best way to increase your points. It boosts your points under both foreign work experience and education.

That's correct! Scoring 7 in reading and keeping the others the same score you have now makes you stand at CLB 9 and this gives you extra points under the skill transferability factors

Currently I am at CLB 8 it it would have been 7 I would have achieved clb 9, what is the score difference between clb 8 and clb 9

With CLB 9 or 10, you can get 50points extra for skill transferability. Otherwise each higher score band in IELTS gives you 3+marks in CRS.
