my brother just did D pharmacy and he got 6 over all in ielts. S 6.6 l 5.5 w 5 r 6.6
Is he eligible to apply for canada

Yes, he is eligible but some Colleges/ Universities may require 6.5 or above and no individual score less than 5.5 . When you check your College website you wil get a better idea.

IELTS is low need 6.5 and no less than 5.5..personally i feel 5.5 is too low too...so ur brother should aim for no less than 6 and 6.5 overall.

Even if he gets admitted in colleges or universities

Canadian visa officers may think his English proficiency is Bad!

So writing it again might help for 2015 Jan intake!

this ielts score is not good and not bad
for more details ..you must share your overall profile with us ..
if any university or college accept this score with ESL program then you can apply for sp
but chances are bit low,, but its not impossible to get sp
if your brother do not want to retake ielts then you can try..
many of students get visa with this score.

getting student visa is not completely depend on ielts score ..
there are many other things ..like your academic scores ,,Luck
if you gonna apply with this i would like to suggest you to write strong SOP
