I am writing IELTS in U.S on L1 visa next month.
How many bands are required in IELTS?

I heard some agents are saying that we need the band 7 in all the tests.

But google shows equivalents of the table as below.
Is that true?

What is IELTS score needed for Canadian immigration?
Check the table below to match IELTS test results with the CLB standards:

this shows if I get 6 in all, it is equivalent to 7.

So how much score is needed for other NoC
isn't it for all categories we need 7 CLB band
 
You need CLB 7 in all bands for FSW but getting CLB 9+ will lead to a big jump in your scores.
 
Interestingly, one of my friend ( FSW) has 6 bands in all modules but initial EE assessment and EE profile shown him as Ineligible.

Can some one please explain about this?

He has 4 years of IT experience
Education: Bachelor's degree with ECA ( not expired)

Did you select Quebec? How much money did you put in as settlement funds?
 
Not selected Quebec for sure.

He is single applicant and shown funds 12, 300.00 CAD

What else it could be for his profile ineligibility?
 
Age? Is he too old? Has he manually calculated FSW points?
 
29 years old. ( not old enough :P)
 
How many years of continuous skilled work experience does he have in NOC 0, A or B?

CLB 7 is 6 in IELTS according to the IELTS to CLB conversion.

I think it's 3 years continuous - Two different NOC's I beleive - all falls in NOC A

He used CIC CRS calc. to find out points. ( ~ 386 i guess)

Now tell him to retake IELTS and get CLB 9 and and his score will be more than 420
