I have a friend that had taken IELTS recently and his total score was 4.5 does this score eligible enough to apply for CEC? his NOC code was 6322 (cook) just like me but Im not really sure if this score is eligible for CEC. Need your advice please..

Thanks,
toink

6322 falls under skilled level B, It is not possible to determine whether or not eligible with overall band, you need to interpret IELTS score to CLB score and check whether your friend satisfies Skill Level B requirement

If you have qualifying Canadian work experience at Skill Level B of NOC, your test results must match the CLB/NCLC below(see chart):
5 or higher for each of those abilities, or
4 for any one of those abilities, 5 or higher for any other two of those abilities and 6 or higher for the remaining ability.

NOC CLB Level Test result for each ability
Speaking Listening Reading Writing
0, A 8 6.5 7.5 6.5 6.5
0, A 7 6.0 6.0 6.0 6.0
0, A, B 6 5.5 5.5 5.0 5.5
B 5 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0
B 4 4.0 4.5 3.5 4.0

What was your friend's score in reading, writing, listening, speaking?

or u can check op 25A (pdf) Canadian experience class)

noc b cook requires to reach at least L5 R4 W5 S5
the results must be on each category and the overall doesn't mind, i.e you can have 7 on LRW but 4 in S you have to retake the test, don't worry you are so close and already have the experience next time sure you have the mark
