Hi all,,
I have submitted my updated application on October 2009, in that application I have written I am professional in English in all the four abilities that's because I have been living in UK for a while. I did IELTS two weeks ago and received the result which is 6.5 total band. Still i have enough points to immigrate to canada. the question is do I need to send them the IELTS with another updated application form which shows the real and current IELTS result or send just the IELTS certificate and they will calculate the points according to that.

Kind regards
TMSB

I think, you should submit IELTS original copy and expect point according to your IELTS band.

IELTS is the best way to test language ability. I advice all to prefer IELTS and not to submit written submission.

Now rules are changes, If you send the application with written submission after 1st April 2010, they will put your marks according to your written skills and will not ask you to take IELTS.

But in your case, your file submitted before 1st April-2010, They will also IELTS result and put the marks according to your band of IELTS. Visa offices really get confuse when they evaluate written submission and they will not able to judge the actually language ability of candidate and it delay process....
