Here are my notes from my practice. I went through Cambridge English IELTS books Vol 1-9 and recommend going through all those books. I scored R8.5, L8.5, W7.5, S8

I am currently practicing Cambridge IELTS series and continuously hitting Band 7 in listening and reading. How difficult would be the actual test relative to the Cambridge books?

Your reading is amazing! Do you have any tips, especially True/False/NG questions, where I am struggling a lot.

Thanks! The actual test is very similar to the Cambridge IELTS series.

The True/False/NG questions can be challenging especially when it comes to determining whether the answer is FALSE or Not Given. You only choose false if the information from the passage contradicts the question. However if the passage doesn't not disagree with the question but doesn't give enough information, then you need to choose Not Given. Practice makes perfect with the IELTS

Thanks a lot. These are very useful sites.

Thanks for the Websites.

I did not appreciate the importance of IELTS Score and ended up getting a 7 in Listening which brought my otherwise decent score down. I have this right now:
L- 7
R- 8
W- 8
S- 7

I am appearing again with the expectation of improving my Listening specially. I aim to get atleast an 8 there. I have read that to get an 8 you need to get 35 correct out of 40. Is it a fair expectation?

Guys..In my first attempt i got 7.5 band with:
L-8
R-9
W-6.5
S-7

Writing did me in..So sat 2nd time but ended up with 6.5 in W and S. L,R-same score as above.

now don't feel like sitting for the 3rd. :o...my crs score-383..demotivated/discouraged.

Low on confidence :-X

apply Request for Re-correction , in most cases they will increase your score from 6.5 to 7

I have seen many get trapped in writing, any particular reason? I have not seen anyone get more than a 7.5 in writing.
