I think you only the copies are required. Go through their guidelines.

Seems like they have changed the process lately. Not sure why they are asking original as ielts can be validated online. I guess you dont have much of a choice here. I you do send original, make sure to request an additional copy for your records.

Hi,

I took the test from back home, I called the IELTS center to request the copy of my result, they said they can email or mail it to organization or immigration office, not to the personal address. Please advise what else I can do to get the original copy of my IELTS result.

Also, can I just have it notarized?

The OINP form, guide or the checklist that appears at the end of the form - ALL asks for copies of IELTS test result. I have re-verified it just now. It doesn't mention that original is required. Can you check the guide & form that you have ?.

The exact wording that I see in form-checklist is "Copy of language proficiency test results from the following designated testing agencies obtained within the past 24 months:"
