I submitted my application a month ago with an academic ielts that will expire in June, 2015. Yesterday i came to know that now the ielts requirements are changed that it should be general and not academic and should be valid upto one year after submission of the application, and my case does not satisfy these two conditions. Anyone having an idea what would happen to my application...would they put a query or return the application? Or is there a provision that i take ielts in 2-3 weeks and submit the result?

What are you applying for?

If you are applying for PR - the requirement has ALWAYS been to submit General IELTS ONLY - it hasn't been changed

Your application could result in a refusal due to including an invalid item with your application package.

Sorry , but it will be refused.

Take general Test again and prepare for Express Entry
