I wrote yours faithfully instead of yours sincerely
I started the letter dear samy

what about my marks deductions now :-[
Even if you had written "Yours sincerely" it would have been incorrect

Always use "Yours truly" for all informal letters

If i remember correctly it was
presentations (I definitely remember one answer was plural, most probably this was it)

Hi All, I'm really hoping to score 8 in listening but I'm doubtful if I answered map labelling questions correctly. Until the results come out I'll be in doubt . I know it's not possible to recollect all the answers but if anyone can, could you please confirm answers of map section? It will be helpful in giving me some relief
Bank was the location with symbol "B" in the map

All Hotel options were located in the NW & SW locations of the map

One answer was in the extreme East side, just at the end of the road and opposite to that postal office (I guess it was postal/information desk something)

If you can recall the options, I can certainly try to pin point all answers.

WRITING ( I am struggling in this section)

Especially people who have earlier scored 7 or above in writing, please share your approach and strategy:

1. Do you start with Task 1 or 2
2. How much time do you spend on each task
3. How much time do you spend on brainstorming in task 2
4. In Agree/Disagree essay, Do you include critics viewpoint or only emphasise on the arguments favouring your point of view ?
5. How many words do you generally end up writing task 2 essay: 250+ or 275+ or 300+ ?
6. Any other insight, would be highly appreciated....

1. I always start with Task 1
2. 20 min and 40 min
3. 5 minutes
4. Yes, I was told its better to add an opposite to yours view, but only after you r done listing all arguments in support of ur opinion.
5. I usually write 280-300 words, but it leaves with almost no time for proofreading :(

I have already chekd out IELTSLIZ, Ryan, Simon etc..
But since the videos are so many, I have learned in bits and pieces from all of them
This time around, I will try and stick to one website, though all of them have somewhat similar approaches.

i got a 9 in that section and heres what i did..

1. Did Task 1 first..guy next to me did Task 2 first..
2. 15mins for Task 1...4-5mins for planning..rest for Task 2
3. So 4-5mins for brainstorming Task 2
4. Included both viewpoints possible with a little para on each argument..concluded with big para of arguments cementing my own point of view
5. i was in the 300-350 words range - realized this while preparing
6. I guess its more about what clicks for each individual..i guess practicing as much as possible would certainly help..

all the best..

I agree the answer was "False" but my reasoning is different.

The Question was something like
"There are 3 plans available for International calling and other features" : T/F/NG
But in the footnote, it was mentioned that the first plan does not include long distance calling feature (basically it meant no ISD calls)
Therefore only 2 plans available to cater the international calling feature
Hence, False (I hope this is the correct rational)
Good point. My thinking was that those two plus the per minute calling option makes it three.
I selected True.
Well, we have to wait for the results.

One more thing to add
I have never seen a test (not even sample) where the T/F/NG section doesnt include one of each option as an answer
If you had noticed, there was no "False" answer to any other statement. Which made me even more sure that this statement must be "False".
