IELTS mandatory for the visa or not???

Hello guys

I am in a hard situation and i need some advices. My visa was refused 2 days ago with the reason of my current employment status( which i dont understand at all why since i am going to study) and Other Reasons: my proposed studies are not in light with one or more: previous studies, qualifications etc....
I am going to study for the Commercial Pilot Licence and the IELTS is not required at all from the school and Canadian Civipl Aviation Authority. I did not submit the IELTS in my previos visa application since it was not required in the online application.
I am thinkig to take the IELTS while i wait for the CAIPS notes but the school told me that it is not required at all.
I am qualified for this course because i have been working as Flight Dispatcher for almost 3 years but due to company bankruptcy last year i decided to go in Qatar to work in a Hotel( which was a mistake and i quite after 9 months and came back to my country to apply for pilot school)
Unfortunately i did not attach any of my aviation qualifications to the visa application since it was not required in the online form and i was hoping they will request additional documents after reviewing my file..

Next application i am going to submit my previous work certificate, recommendation for pilot from my previous boss and a conditional job offer for after my studies.
Do you think would be enogh??

IELTS might not be required by many colleges but it is quite an essential part of your application whether it is for studying or even migration. I would suggest you to get it done especially if you are not a citizen of UK, Australia, NZ

It is not mandatory..If you remember when you fill the application for study permit they will ask you if you have taken any test to show english and/or french proficiency...

You can there attach any examination.... for example TOEFL, TOEFL IBT, CAEL, IELTS, or any other....

Yes. Someone by the username erwinjohn from my country got his study permit without IELTS.

It is not mandatory..If you remember when you fill the application for study permit they will ask you if you have taken any test to show english and/or french proficiency...

You can there attach any examination.... for example TOEFL, TOEFL IBT, CAEL, IELTS, or any other....

Thats correct, they do have an option of yes and no, but thats for the fortunate few from select countries. Others like us, have no choice even though there is a choice in the options. You need any one of the tests done.

Yes, and why even take a chance and debate about it, when you can just get it done. Its quite easy really, I could manage a 8.5band

AFAIK, no he didn't. As a matter of fact, he even posted in the forum that he actually took the IELTS test but did not check "yes" on the study permit application form for he has low scores.

But in case i see in the notes of the VO that he did not mentioned the IELTS, and i fullyfill all his concernes that he hs written, in this case is it sure the visa or still there is VO who can refuse me for reason not mentioned previously?

With Canada its always a bit tricky. hope for the best prepare for the worst.
