IELTS General in United States: no tests?!?

I haven't been able to find testing centers with 8h of my home that are offering the IELTS General; is this a regional issue (Midwest), or is the test just not being given anywhere?

If it's not being given anywhere in the US, then because of travel restrictions, it doesn't appear that you can even travel to Canada to take the test there, either?

What is everyone doing?

Are there any entry programs that don't require the IELTS?

I really wish they had these tests online. The one place in our state is currently closed so we registered for an out of state location that is 2 hours away. You may just have to wait until a closer place opens....sorry.

I am applying for self-employed and it seems it may not be required for that but is recommended. You’ll want to double check.

You need either IELTS or CELPIP to apply to immigrate. No way around that.

You're right - you can get through self-employment without language tests. But longer processing generally.

I'm checking the CELPIP, and even though the icon for the United States says Chicago, New York, Alexandria and some others, Chicago isn't actually available as a testing site in the available cities.

Last time I checked a few days ago I saw some centers open. Looks like they've closed them again.

I got the date in my State and had my IELTS within a week.

They informed me about the availability on 11th oct for test on 24th oct in the state.
