hi fellow nurses

I recently took ielts and got following bands

LISTENING-8.5
READING-8
WRITING-7
SPEAKING-6.5

my specific doubt is whether cno accepts this language result r i need to once again sit for that...becoz i lack .5 in speaking.....i need to know whether previously anyone got little consideration in ielts r they r very strict in that????? i am depressed so much anyone help me to find solution for this :'( :'( :'(

honestly??? i got:
8.5 listening
6.5 reading
7.5 speaking
6.5 writing....i lack .5 for writing....CNO WILL NEVER CONSIDER. I called their office to ask. They said, they cant consider even if the band score is above 7. Sorry for both of us. We have to repeat everything again.

i lack .5 in writing too. i was only 6.5 but they will never consider that. I called the nursing body in canada a week ago. they are strict. they said, i should retake it. no consideration. in celban, u can redo the speaking alone...but it its ielts, i think you have to repeat everything. exactly what happened to my results too. we have similar situation.

Hello to pinaynurse1 and welcome to Canada :)

I have just taken the IELTS test last Feb.18 and sad to share that I didn't make it. Because of going through the same process with some Filipino ( IEN ) , we share a common concern. My only concern is that I really don't understand where my mistakes are as I really tried mybest to answer the listening questions and pretty much confident that I would get the accepted band score . But to my dismay, I only got 7 .

Like everyone else who didn't get the required band score, retaking the test is the only way inorder to proceed for the next step. Here in BC, they are quite strict on the rules.

Thats right. I tried to call the SRNA, they need me to repeat my IELTS. I was only .5 insufficient with my writting even if my band score is higher than what they require. Strickto talaga. But if we will submit our results just to try our luck, sabi ng staff doon, they will never process the papers if theres anything lacking in there :)

hi i want to ask what happened do they accept ur ielts score because we have the same score 6.5 in speaking :(

My first take in academic IELTS:

Listening 8.5
Reading 7.5
Writing 7.0
Speaking 6.5

I did the remarking of my speaking and unfortunately it remained the same! 6.5 :( CNO said they r very strict.

2nd retake which i got this time:

Listening 8.5
Reading 8.0
Speaking 8.0
Writing 6.0

IELTS centre you've gotta be kidding me?! Im so furious right now. No doubt it will be ignored by CNO again
