Hi,

I lived in US for ten 10 years and did MS / MBA from US universities and worked there for 7 years. Now I have been working in Canada since last two years on work permit. Can I get any sort of exempt for IELTS exam or do I have to take that exam? Also, is that required to submit IELTS score as part of application packet for CEC or is that something that can be send later to CIC.

Regards

Everyone is required to provide their original IELTS results with their initial application.

IELTS is a MUST for all CEC applicants.

IELTS score is one of the basic requirements for your CEC application to be processed. It has to be submitted at the time of applying (as a part of application packet).

Police Clearance Certificate is one such doc which is not mandatory as a part of applying but can be submitted at a later date whenever called for.

Hi.. Typically how long does it take for the package to return or CC to be charged? My application reached on 28th June and its almost a month and i have no clue what is happening..

LOL my former manager is from UK... he speaks very posh English as he has a degree in English literature... and he had to take IELTS too... and what pisses him off the most is... he didn'get full mark :D:D:D:D

he said when he took the speaking exam the examiner asked "How are you today?" and he replied with some sort of british joke... and it seemed that the examiner didn't get his british joke because she then slowly spoke like "How - are - you - today?"

Your job is under NOC Level B:

To be eligible for CEC NOC B positions, you would need to have the following CLB Levels:

5, 5, 5, 5 OR
4, 5, 5, 6

thats too funny! lol

Syed_A,

IELTS is required for CEC apps. The only time you would be exempt from providing evidence is when applying for citizenship. Regulations were just amended to allow for those who have obtained a degree in english to present such as proof of language eligibility. I'm in the same boat as you. See the link below..

even Shakespear and the creator of the English language MUST take the IELTS exam
