ATT: Request for IELTS Exemption on Application for ( Federal and Quebec Skilled Worker) immigration program
I am a Liberian, 33 years of age. I acquired my primary and secondary education in Liberia where all lessons were taught in ENGLISH. I moved to Kenya in 2003 where I attended University obtaining a Bachelors in Communication and Information Technology from the Edith Cowan University (Western Perth, Australia). In 2008 I moved back to Liberia and started working at the biggest Telephone Company in Liberia where I currently served as IN & VAS Manager with over 9 years of working experience. All through my years of studies (primary, secondary, University and work) I have known no other language other than ENGLISH as it is my first Language. My intentions are to apply for the above migration program to Canada, however one of the requirements outlined is proof of English Language (IELTS test result). Do I still still have to sit this exams after having all proof of documents showing that my years of studies and work have all been done in English?
Appreciate a response to my concerns as it will best help me in my preparation.
Regards
Stevenho
Depends on the school and program.I'm a college graduate from Philippines. I want to study a 1 year course in Canada and surely apply for a student visa. Will my future Canadian School acknowledge my school as english proficient school and no longer make me take the english proficiency test(IELTS)? Provided that my school here in the Philippines have several english subjects in the curriculum and our instructors use english as a mode of teaching and communication.
The school will be NBCC, Moncton. I will soon be taking an IT course.Depends on the school and program.
You'll need to check their website to see their language requirements for international students and what exemptions they provide. If it's not clear, contact the school directly. The school will be NBCC, Moncton. I will soon be taking an IT course.
