IELTS exempt for GCSE O-Level

I want to ask two questions.
I am applying for Culinary Management Program.
I talked to the college, I'm going to apply.
I told them that I have GCSE O-Levels and A-Levels in (Business studies) (UK equivalent to Canadian High School OSSD)
They said I am totally eligible for the course and I don't need any IELTS proof or whatever.
But after going through some posts here,
I am a little worried about my case in the VO's hand.
Is it relevant to do a culinary management course after business studies.
cause after all it is related to Hotel Business.
and furthermore am i really exempted from IELTS.
You sure that I don't need any IELTS to prove my english proof to the VO?
ENFIELD and Tiger or any other CHAMPION please help

Btw my first language is not English and i got a 'C' in my English (GCSE O-Level)

sorry man, I had English as a First language in BOTH my O and A levels (A's in both).

Its not accepted (if you have studied your O/A within Pakistan). You need your IELTS. I had 8.5 but it was expired. However as I had all ready given my IELTS, the college just asked me to give their admissions test.

I would advise you just give your IELTS- and that also from Pakistan, its damn expensive here and has a loonnnggg waiting list.

I got visa without Ielts. I have also done 0&A levels from pak.

yeah cussey is right!

Canada does not cares about ab GCE education. I have seen it too! They dont even recognise it in some universities.


So its better to avoid any bumps. Take the IELTS exam in PK and then look for Canada.

No no dont get me wrong!!! the universities/colleges LOVE UK level education. they all accept O/A levels. usually they require only 5 o'level and 2 a'level subjects. you can even get into certain unis with ONLY o'levels.. (I got into humber by just showing my O/A levels.)


im talking only about the ENGLISH REQUIREMENT (IELTS/TOFEL) part... they wont consider O/A levels for that

brother trust me.. if you are from PK. you got have that X-Factor in your Application.

It can be anything.. 90% marks ?

IELTS 8+ band

GMAT or GRE.. Anything.! but there must be something extra ordinary!

And GCE O'Levels or A'Levels is accepted by University .. but if you want those high grade universities then you might you negociate with them with something good.. and thats the place where x-factor comes up. I hope you understand now.

its not mixed! Its just that be Stand out rather than being the normal person in Que.
