IELTS exam with old passport and ITA with new passport

Hi All,

My place of birth in old passport had a minor spelling mistake. So, I applied and got a new passport which happened to be after my IELTS exam. Consequently, my IELTS test report form contains my old passport id as candidate number, whereas I've got ITA with my new passport number. Will it be any problem? Can I provide LOE and address this ?

Aside, should I need to provide the old cancelled passport detail anywhere in the EE profile (under passport document, for example)?

All they need is ielts test report number. Doesn't matter if passport is old or new.

To be on safer side-
Use new passport in EE file. Submit loe to explain old passport used in ielts test.

Yes thanks navinball, I get that. However, the test report number would have my old passport as candidate id. So, I would need to address that inconsistency isn't it?

As you are from India, your last page in the new passport will have the old passport number.
