I don't think 4.5 makes you eligible in any NOC, which NOC
You fall? You probably have to Give exam again

A category....infact I feel the same.. do I have an option of revalidating my answer sheet.. I can't believe that I did so bad in writing...based on your experience in answering queries, do you feel there might be possibility of mistake .. etc...

unfortunately your best option is retake the test, there is the option to ask for re-evaluation of your test but you have to pay a fee that you can't recover if there is no mistake and I still don't know anyone who had succeeded on getting a better mark. The most common mistake on writing is not to answer what they are asking for, good luck on your next test! You already have the mark and for sure your writing is good just check what exactly is what they are asking to write about

If you need to take exam again, I would advise you to take CELPIP tests. I took IELTS first (2 years ago), and although score I got was good for FSW, it wasn't good for CEC NOC skill level A (I got 5.5 from writing). CELPIP exam takes place in front of computer, so your writing part will be easier, you have a word counter and topics are easier. In CELPIP you have to write two letters, one informal short and one formal longer, while essey in IELTS can be real pain in the ass because of topic about which you have to write.
