IELTS asked for working visa

Hello everybody.
I applied for a working visa online and after a few days I received an email asking me to provide within one month a language certificate.
I was completely unprepared about this and I asked from the officer to give me more time to provide the ielts since there were no available dates to take the test.
Do you think he will give me the extension I am asking?
Does anyone know for noc c (heavy equipment operator) how much I should score?

you will need to score At least Band 6.0 General Training.

Are you sure about this?Do you have any personal experience?For pnp programs scoring 4 is enough,for temporary working visa is mandatory to score as high as you say?

Well the VO replied and he is giving me the time that I need to provide the results.Does anyone know how much I should score for a noc c?The lmo indicates that no formal education required and at the language parts says just oral and writting.
