This is getting mixed responses and becoming more confusing !

If my IELTS was invalid on the 11th of Jan (Time when I received the ITA), then how come the system didn't deactivate my profile until I re-take the exam?

I'll make it clear, you have to retake your test otherwise your application will get rejected.

Better to decline ITA and get in pool with new score. 2 year period is considered from date of test taken.

@gooner i am in the same situation as you. I received an ITA after my IELTS expired, what did you do? I was planning to redo IELTS and have the new results in time to submit my application.

in this case you are good as your ielts result is valid until 23/01/2017 and you have received an ITA based on your IELTS score which was Valid at the point when your received your ITA

I disagree, per my understanding only age change does not cause issue once ITA receievd any pther change does cause issue, I think the poster needs to retake IELTS and score at least similar bands as his/her previous result and update ITA profile based on the new IELTS result, any lower score may reduce CRS and if CRS falls below the cutoff that was used to give ITA then the ITA will become void and null. If CRS remains same more higher, then no issues.
