IELTS academic score and PR application under experienced class category.

Hi All,

I will be appearing for IELTS academic exam in order to apply for one graduate degree program in one of the community colleges in Toronto. Right now I am in India working like a software engineer and I had around 2.5 years of experience in Canada which makes me eligible for applying PR under experienced class category.

IF I am getting decent Academic IELTS score; can I use the same score along with my PR application too??
Please provide an advice on this

As far as I know.
The validity of the test score is about 2 years from the time that it is received.

But my question was; whether I need to attend IELTS in general category to submit my PR application or I can use my academic IELTS score?

Ielts General is for immigration!

You must do General IELTS and not academic for PR application. Please go through the guide thoroughly.

Looks like I have to appear twice for IELTS exam.

1st - for Academic exam in order to get a student visa
and 2nd - for General exam for submitting the PR application in CEC.
