IELTS 6.5 overall with 5.5 in Reading, General Category

Is it possible to get a study permit with an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with 7 in speaking, 6.5 in reading, 6 in listening and 5.5 in reading for a general category college for a diploma course in PEI? The college demand 6 IELTS score. Please advise.

you might need to take an academic IELTS test
call your college to make sure if they accept general

The college gave me the offer letter only after I showed them the IELTS score and other some other transcript. There is .o problem with the college, what I am worried is with the Canadian high commission. Some says for diploma course one needs to score 6 overall with minimum 5.5 in all the modules and some says 6 overall with minimum 6 in each modules as per the new canadian immigration rules. Dunno which one is stands true.

minimum 6 is for SDD which is for Indians and its faster
