Hey,

I'm from the UK and when I was an adolescent (16-17) I was taken to the Police Station and given a warning for throwing a pebble at a property, I literally didn't think anything of it as I was informed that it wouldn't be held against me in my adult life and wasn't seen as a criminal conviction.

I was just invited on the IEC scheme and rushed and filled in my Work Permit application ticking the box saying 'No' to the section where it asked if I had been arrested,charged,cautioned/convicted as to my knowledge I was never even cautioned. My Police Certificate came back saying 'No live trace' and so I presumed it wasn't an issue until a day or two after that I was archiving all my paperwork I stumbled across the sheet that was sent with it which informed I'm meant to declare it because they'll clearly know I've had dealings with the Police?

I contacted the local police constabulary and they said I was just given a youth reprimand and so I contacted the CIC through the web portal informing them that I have had dealings and had only just seen the paper now but believed to my knowledge that it was still 'NO' as I wasn't really arrested I literally went to the police station and was interviewed and let straight out with the slap on the wrist.

I'm now worried that they're going to simply just decline my application by seeing the 'NO LIVE TRACE' and seeing that I answered no? Can anyone give me any guidance on if I'm just overly worrying in regards to the situation or if it is a real concern? I read up somewhere that the Canadian Government don't really take to much of an interest into youth convictions as long as they were petty and no criminal record was charged? I'm just seriously worrying now as I'm believing that a 'reckless pebble throw' could be the nail in my coffin?

I've had someone say that I shouldn't be worried as they'd essentially be aware that sometimes people do have 'NO LIVE TRACE' and therefore they'd just query it? But as stated I'm just overly worrying as I can't remember what happened last week leave alone when I was 17? I've also never had any encounters with law enforcement since and am now 24?

If anyone could advise with some experience on this sector I'd be most appreciative?
